UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD: ‘FAN FEST NIGHTS’ WAS WORTH THE TIME TRIP

Yes, I showed up on opening night in my full Star Trek cosplay, which included a light-up phaser…. And I had a blast (Pun intended).

The Star Trek: Red Alert experience was very well done. And it did remind me of some of the awesome San Diego Comic-con Experiences that I’ve gone through in the past. Well done Universal Studios Hollywood.

And from the bridge of ‘Picard’s Enterprise’, you take an escalator ride down to the lower lot, and into the world of Dungeons and Dragons.  Where dragons fly overhead and an evil monster needs to be defeated.

Then you can board the time traveling tram, that will take you to Hill Valley in the 1950’s. Where you will see the original clock tower from the film, and meet Marty McFly, Doc Brown, Butthead Biff, Nerdy George McFly, and Marty’s future Mom.  Then you’ll See Marty play guitar at the prom before going Back To The Future!

The night was indeed magical. You could also meet Yoshi in Super Nintendo World, and on the upper lot meet the crew of the One Piece. There were fantastic beasts in the Wizarding World. Along with a projection show on Hogwarts Castle with fireworks.

Plus, there are many great food and drink options, themed and not themed. There is Fan Fest Merch. And rides are open, with no lines. We rode Jurassic World and Mario Cart. I was there from 8 PM to midnight, and my friends and I had a blast.
