Netflix just released a Behind-The-Scenes FEATURETTE for The Old Guard 2… And I have to say, that it’s about time they made this sequel. The original film was surprisingly entertaining. Leaving the door open for a series of films, that until now, we haven’t seen.
The Old Guard was a fantastical action movie in 2020 that was directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and stared Charlize Theron. The film follows Andromache Scythia (Theron) as one of a group of centuries old-warriors, tasked with defending good people against sinister forces. Their regenerative properties make members of The Old Guard similar to nice vampires. It was a promising premise for a new franchise. And after 4 1/2 years, we’re finally getting the sequel.
