To my surprise, Sideways got 4K UHD upgrade for its 20th anniversary. It just showed up last week, and it is a delight to revisit.
Of course the highlight is wine country in 4K. It is beautiful, vivid and yet you still see the film grain which was fortunately still common in 2004. Yet, inside the wine tastings offer a nice rustic look too.
The digital release still includes the DVD commentary and feature which is fun to explore Sideways before it became a phenomenon.
