Sony Pictures has unleashed billboards to promote a film called, “The Virginity Hit.” The billboard asks, “Still A Virgin?” and offers an 800 number for help.  Nuke The Fridge virgins can now call for help. This is funny shit if you ask me.

According to several media reports Gabriela V. Cedillo, a movie extra working on the set of ‘Transformers 3′, has been seriously injured in a car accident during the shooting of the film.

The condition of Cedillo, 24, is unknown and there has been no comments by the hospital or Paramount Pictures in California as of yet.

We wish Gabriela V. Cedillo the best and hope the reports of her injuries are exaggerated.

The website, Vulture, has released a cool new one-sheet poster for the film “Monsters.” This film looks like it will be worth all the hype it’s receiving despite the ‘ass kissing’ Harry Knowles is giving it.

Instead of waiting and hoping to see a foreseeable start date for J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit,” director Guillermo del Toro has left the project and producer Peter Jackson behind in favor of making, “At the Mountains of Madness” with James Cameron.  “At the Mountains of Madness” is based on a novella written by horror writer H. P. Lovecraft.

MTV has released a clip from M. Night Shyamalan’s ,”Devil”. The movie is set to be released this September.

According to the website, ComicBookMovie, Bruce Willis has been cast to do the voice over work for the Thing in the upcoming “Fantastic Four” Reboot. Apparently Willis will also be making a short appearance in the beginning of the film.

FOX is also going with a completely CGI Thing this time.

Recent surgeries in his battle with cancer have left the esteemed film critic Roger Ebert without the ability to speak.  However, in what must be a bout of overcompensation, he not only continues to work but has become even more prolific with his writing.  While this is good news on many fronts it also means he pumps out material that is not centered exclusively on movies.  Recently he has become elevated in the mind of many activists as an expert voice on societal matters, with him holding forth on his blog, Roger Ebert’s Read the rest of this entry »

A reader, attending the Second Annual Power Morphicon (A Power Rangers Convention) in Pasadena, California, tells NuketheFridge.com that actor Vernon Wells (The Road Warrior, Commando) was overheard saying that he has been cast in The Expendables 2.  According to Wells, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character Trench will take a more central role in the sequel.  The friendly and humorous Wells would not elaborate further on his role in the film because many of the details are still being worked out.
