Lucasfilm and Disney XD have announced that they will renew the animated series, Star Wars Rebels for a third season, bringing the crew of the ghost back for more adventures in 2016. Rebels was the first new piece of canon to arrive after Disney bought Lucasfilm. The series created by Dave Filoni, Simon Kimberg, and Carrie Beck. The animated series takes place between Episode III: Revenge of The Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, and follows the brith of the rebellion.
