My Thoughts

I give the Fifty Shades Darker Blu-ray a B+.

I know what you’re thinking (while rolling your eyes): “Oh No!  Not this again”.  Yes, It’s back with the second installment to the 50 Shades franchise.  I am a fan of the books and I was glued to each page anticipating what was waiting for me.  I can say I did enjoy this blu-ray and I definitely liked it more then the first one.

The one thing I loved while reading the book was the banter and chemistry between Christian and Ana.  To see the banter and chemistry come to life in the film was an added bonus.  If you think its all about sex it’s not!  Its a love story and if you just see the simplicity beyond the sex then you’ll love it as much as I do.  Dakota Johnson is the perfect match to play Anastasia Steele. Her portrayal of Ana is remarkable.  It took me a while to warm up to Jamie Dornan as Christian but he did the character justice!  I know they say the book is better then the movie but this movie did a great job at bringing the book to life.  I still like the book better as you can read the character’s thoughts, as oppose to seeing it.

Catch Fifty Shades Darker out on Blu-ray, Digital HD, & DVD May 9, 2017!
