Many things can happen in 24 short little hours. A god can fall before Death. Realms and worlds can crumble. Or a single 1 minute and 51-second teaser could be viewed over 136 million times. If you think about it, the Thor: Ragnarok trailer was viewed the equivalent of nearly 479 years.

With an 80s feel, and a Led Zeppelin soundtrack backing it, the Thor: Ragnarok trailer was released by Disney , Marvel’s parent company, on Monday. It surpassed the Beauty and the Beast trailer, Disney’s previous 24-hour record holder with 126.7 millions views, and became the most viewed trailer across the board of all of Disney properties and brands.

Chris Hemsworth returns as Thor, captured by Valkyrie, Mjolnir destroyed by Hela and stranded a galaxy away from his allies, a pawn for the Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum) and his games. But, enter Hulk.

In the middle of a gladiatorial arena, Thor offers up the best line, “We know each other. He’s a friend from work.” It’s brilliant. Until he realizes that the Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) he knew is absent from the fight. It’s all The Hulk, brutal and powerful, a reminder of Planet Hulk storyline.

In the trailer, we catch glimpses of Heimdall (Idris Elba), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), and Skurge (Karl Urabn). Hela, played by the amazing Academy Award-winning actress Cate Blanchett, is a powerful and deadly new villain.

Taika Waititi, the New Zealand filmmaker behind Hunt for the Wilder people and What We Do in the Shadows, directs this MCU sequel.

Thor: Ragnarok will be released in the U.S. On November 3rd.
