Telltale Games not only has The Walking Dead Series and Batman games that have been out for sometime now because, earlier today Telltale released the first trailer for its Guardians of the Galaxy series, which premieres in April with the first of five episodes.

The trailer shows off main characters Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot going on an all-new adventure separate from the film series.

The story picks up with the Guardians finding “an artifact of unspeakable power” that an evil force wants to claim for her own.

Episode 1, Tangled Up In Blue, premieres on April 18, with the remaining four to follow.

The first episode costs $5, while there will be a $30 physical disc version (providing access to the first episode and the further four as they’re released) available starting on May 2 in North America.

Here is the voice cast for Telltale’s Guardians of the Galaxy series:

  •  STAR-LORD — Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights)

  •  GAMORA — Emily O’Brien (Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor)

  •  ROCKET — Nolan North (Uncharted series)

  •  DRAX — Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs)

  •  GROOT — Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us)

In addition to Telltale’s game, Deus Ex studio Eidos is reportedly working on its own Guardians of the Galaxy game, though that is not confirmed.
