In Kong: Skull Island, Skull Island is the home of the legendary King Kong and it’s inhabited by thousands of strange creatures that the crew is forced to fight off for survival. The place is so large and populated that it’s hard to imagine that all of them made it into the final cut of the movie. During a roundtable interview with actors, Toby Kebbell and Jason Mitchell (who star in the film), Nuke the Fridge’s Louis Love (Luis Lecca) asked if they remember filming anything that did not make it into the final cut of the film. According to the two actors, a cool scene that involved a massive venus flytrap type monster was cut from the film. Question: The movie had a lot of action sequences. I noticed that at one point they mentioned (Monster) ants but we never saw them. Was there anything left on the cutting room floor? Jason Mitchell: Yes! They had a venus flytrap. A very interesting plant thing. It was an interesting concept. Perhaps this and other cuts will be added to future Blu-ray releases. Kong: Skull Island opens in theaters on March 10, 2017.
