Do you recall Star Wars Celebration Anaheim and the surreal moment when BB-8 hit the stage for The Force Awakens panel. The reaction was priceless leaving many to wonder “How did they build that?” If you’re a fan of this lovable rambunctious little droid, we have some good news for you. The official Disney Parks blog has just announced that BB-8 will be featured in the Star Wars Launch Bay at Disney Hollywood Studios in Orlando Florida for character meet and greets. Along with Kylo Ren and Chewbacca, guests will be able to interact and have photos taken with the feisty little BB-8. This guest experience will be coming to Disney Hollywood Studios this spring 2017.

StarWars.com has announced some awesome news, Force Friday II has been announced and will be here September 1, 2017. Now just in case you’ve been living under a rock, Force Friday is the day all the new Star Wars toys and collectibles hit shelves in support of the newest Star Wars movie. For Force Friday in 2015 it was a worldwide global event with the unboxing of some of the most anticipated Star Wars merchandise in recent years. Also of note, Lucasfilm and Disney revealed the toy packaging for the merchandise which features Rey wielding a lightsaber as she’s flanked by Poe Dameron and Finn.

Two things we pondered with the image of the toy packaging, Rey has the blue lightsaber, so does that confirm that Luke still has his green bladed lightsaber from Return of The Jedi? Also, where is Rey’s padawan braid? Is the braid no longer required among padawans in training. This is all just speculation but it got our hamster wheels turning. One thing is definitely for sure, I’ll be preparing my bank account for Force Friday II!

Hasbro has announced a new helmet to their very popular Black Series collectibles line. Joining the Stormtrooper, Kylo Ren and Shadow trooper helmet line will be The Poe Dameron X-wing pilot Resistance helmet. The helmet is also being described as highly detailed and screen accurate. Yahoo Movies is reporting,

“The helmet has a surround-sound speaker system that plays X-wing and TIE fighter sound effects and communiqués from BB-8”.

We don’t have a release date (Force Friday II perhaps?) for the new helmet but as soon as we find out we’ll let you know.

This weeks comic book release is Star Wars: Poe Dameron issue #11. Written by Charles Soule, pencilled and cover art by Phil Noto.

Synopsis: Things are heating up for Poe Dameron and super-spymaster C-3PO! The First Order is on their tail…and Terex’s evil cronies as well. Not to mention… Who’s feeding information to the First Order in the first place?

We’re all done for this week, there’s a lot going on in the Star Wars galaxy but rest assured, we’ll be right here to bring you the latest Star Wars news as soon it’s released, we’ll see you next week!
