TweetEmailAs many of you know, 4/26 was dubbed “Alien Day” for LV-426 – the moon where the xenomorphs are discovered in Ridley’s Scott 1979 Film, Alien. If you were anything like me, you didn’t know the day existed until you saw your Facebook feed flooded with posts mentioning the day. Not only was it a day dubbed to honor the original film, we also got a first glimpse (in the form of an image) to the upcoming film Alien: Covenant, set to release on August 4, 2017. The film is also being directed by Ridley Scott and stars: Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, and Demián Bichir (just to name a few). In the image (posted on the official Alien Facebook page), we see a patch worn by one of the crew members of the titular ship. Check out the image below: Synopsis Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
