Square Enix’s Final Fantasy series has been around now for 28 years, starting with the first Final Fantasy series that was released on the Nintendo (Famicom in Japan). The series has seen 14 main game titles, tons of spin-offs and a few ports and re-releases on multiple systems but only recently has the series been getting a lot of attention on Steam. Right now you can find ports of Final Fantasy III, IV, VII, VIII and now you can add V to that. The game has been given a visual upgrade, improved battle system and controls and adds an extra optional dungeon called “The Sealed Temple” which was originally added in the 2006 FFV Game Boy Advance release, as well as the Tetsuya Nomura-designed optional boss Enuo. The game is out now for $15.99 on Steam. While I’m not a huge fan of the improved visual it’s nice to see the series available for PC.
