Last time fans heard from the set of “Iron Man 3″ was way back in mid-August when actor Robert Downey, Jr. (Tony Stark) had sustained an ankle injury while performing a stunt on location in Wilmington, N.C. Now more positive news is coming from the set, which resumed filming today in Miami Beach, with some cool photos of Iron Man’s Mark XLVII armor along with a glimpse of the Iron Patriot’s armor. The film’s plot is described as a “technological crisis thriller,” set in the world of international war, arms, and terror.
“Iron Man 3″ is currently in production and will open in theaters on May 3rd, 2013. The film stars Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Kingsley, William Sadler, Don Cheadle, Rebecca Hall, Guy Pearce, Paul Bettany, Dale Dickey, James Badge Dale, Stan Lee, and Jon Favreau. Shane Black and Drew Pearce wrote the screenplay, based on characters created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Larry Lieber, and Don Heck. Shane Black directs.
