Sony has released the new official synopsis for the “Evil Dead” remake that will be released on April 12th, 2013. Take a look at the storyline below. You will notice that it sounds just like the original movie from 1981.
“In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.”
“The Evil Dead” is expected to open theatrically on April 12th, 2013. The film stars Jane Levy, Jessica Lucas, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, and Elizabeth Blackmore. Sam Raimi, Diablo Cody, Rodo Sayagues, and Fede Alvarez wrote the screenplay, while Fede Alvarez directs.
