Kimberly Peirce’s “Carrie” Remake Gets a New Synopsis!

Back in 1976 the movie “Carrie” scared the crap out of moviegoers. Now a remake by “Boys Don’t Cry” directer Kimberly Peirce is set to open in theaters on  March 15th, 2013.

“A re-imagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.

Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, Carrie is directed by Kimberly Peirce with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.”

The “Carrie” Remake opens in theaters on March 15th, 2013. The film stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore, and Judy Greer.
