Spoiler warning:
Since “The Expendables 2″ is expected to make big bucks at the Box-Office it’s only natural that the producer, Avi Lerner, start to think about the third film.
Lerner has revealed that he is looking into some BIG names for the “The Expendables 3.” Names that include Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford, Nicolas Cage, and even the return of Mickey Rourke.
Here’s what he said in an exclusive interview with Total Film:
“We’ve approached Clint Eastwood to be one of the guys, we’ve got a character in mind for him. We’re talking to Harrison Ford. [And we want] Wesley Snipes when he comes back from prison. I’ll give you one more name, we’ve got Nicolas Cage to play [one of the characters]. And we’re going to bring Mickey Rourke back, if he won’t be too crazy. I like Mickey. And of course, all the existing stars [will return].”
That line up of action stars sounds very ambitious and let’s hope it happens.

Mr. Church reunites the Expendables for what should be an easy paycheck, but when one of their men is murdered on the job, their quest for revenge puts them deep in enemy territory and up against an unexpected threat.
“The Expendables 2″ opens in theaters on August 17th and stars Sylvester Stallone, Liam Hemsworth, and Randy Couture.
