The Denver Post is reporting that “The Dark Knight Rises” star Christian Bale has visited victims of the Colorado shooting that took place during a midnight screening of the film last Friday.
After the shooting, an online campaign was launched to get Bale to dress up as “The Dark Knight” (Batman) and visit the victims. Susan Fleishman, the executive vice president of Warner Brothers corporate communications, informed the media that Bale’s visit was by his own choice and that he’s not representing Warner Bros. or the films in any way.
“Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers,” said an assistant for Susan Fleishman, executive vice president for Warner Brothers corporate communications.”
Earlier in the week, Bale issued a statement about the tragedy.
“Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them.”
Two thumbs up for Christian Bale. He’s turned out to be a very classy, caring guy.
