Marvel comic fans cannot wait for any updates on the status of “The Avengers 2.” Although most fans where more than happy with the work Joss Whedon did with the first “Avengers” movie, his return for a sequel still hangs in the balance. But now we get word from San Diego Con-Con that he may not be interested at all.
Here’s what Whedon said during a Firefly 10-year anniversary press conference:
”I have not come to a decision on directing Avengers 2 yet. I am having too much fun with this (Firefly reunion) now.”
So what does this mean? Is he not interested in another “Avengers” film? Or is he playing hard ball with the studios?
“The Avengers 2″ opens in theaters in 2015 but who will direct it?
