It looks like Ubisoft is in talks with Paramount to bring their video game series ‘Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell’ onto the big screen.
The stealth action games follow covert operative Sam Fisher, who is part of a top secret branch of the National Security Agency called the Third Echelon. The series currently has six games released with a seventh on called ‘Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist’ in the works which should debut around 2013.
Paramount is currently the front runner for the movie rights, bit seems unlikely that a deal will be made soon since video game adaptations into film are pretty risky. Also Ubisoft will have a tight grip on how the video game gets translated onto the silver screen.
