We just heard something awesome through the grape vine, Hugh Laurie (House, M.D.) is in talks to play the villain in Jose Padiha‘s upcoming RoboCop reboot. Laurie is in negotiations to play a cold, sarcastic CEO of Omnicorp, a mega-corporation responsible for the creation of Robocop. Details are pretty scarce at the moment but it seems that the character Laurie will play (granted he takes on the role) will be similar to the one Ronny Cox played in the 1987 original.
‘RoboCop’stars Joel Kinnaman, Abbie Cornish (in talks to play his wife), Gary Oldman, and Samuel L. Jackson. Production is set to begin this September in Toronto with a possible summer 2013 release.
