Recently some images of a certain red, white, and blue suit of armor has made quite a buzz on the web. Now reports are coming in that the Iron Patriot won’t be in the film, but the Patriot Armor does indeed belong to one of the characters. It looks like the person in the armor is not actor James Badge Dale, but rather a stunt double.
According to Latino Review, the Iron Patriot armor will belong to James Rhodes aka War Machine played by actor Don Cheadle in ‘Iron Man 3′. Which means War Machine is getting a new paint job and it does sort of make sense since we can see the WM shoulder mounted weapon in the images. Latino Review also points out that the scene shown in the unofficial set photos is likely the unveiling of the Patriot Armor fit for military service.
‘Iron Man 3′ is due out in theaters on May 3, 2013. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Ben Kingsley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Rebecca Hall, Ashley Hamilton, and Guy Pearce. The film is directed by Shane Black.
