Robert Kirkman the creator of the acclaimed series ‘The Walking Dead’ and Skybound has announced that this year at Comic-Con they will be preparing a zombie obstacle course to commemorate the 100th issue of ‘The Walking Dead’ series at Petco Park. Here’s what Kirkman has to say about the event;

“Our fans have been reading about it, watching it and now they get to live it with The Walking Dead Escape. We are literally transforming Petco Park into the early days of society’s collapse and San Diego is just the first city to fall.”

All the details of ‘The Walking Dead Escape’ has yet to be released but sources say that it will be an interactive experience with Walking Dead references throughout the location. Participants of the event can participle in one of three ways; be a survivor and race through a zombie infested evacuation zone, be a walker who joins the ranks of the undead, or a spectator who watches from the sidelines during an escape party. And after completing the course depending on the decisions you make in the interactive displays it will determine whether or not you’re infected as a zombie. This course looks to be one of the events to look out for at this years Comic-Con and would likely attract a large number of fans from both the TV and the comic book series.

San Diego Comic-Con 2012 will run though July 12-15.
