Photos have reached the Internet featuring some scenes from the upcoming 20th Century Fox film “Prometheus” directed by Ridley Scott. “Prometheus” is the prequel to the 1979 “Alien” film that Scott had directed as well. Some of the photos are grainy. These come from a teaser trailer released by Scott at 2011’s San Diego Comic-Con. As you can see, there is a strong horror element in the story. Even the airlock is reminiscent of the look and angle shot in the original “Alien” film aboard the mining ship Nostromo.
Just to add some spice to this information. In July, the cast and crew spent two weeks shooting exterior scenes at the foot of Iceland’s Hekla Volcano. This footage will surely give Scott the “look and feel” of an alien environment.
“Prometheus” will star Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Logan Marshall-Green, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Idris Elba, Guy Pearce, and Ben Foster. Ridley Scott directs this highly anticipated sci-fi/horror epic. The film is slated for a June 8th, 2012 release.
