A source close to the production of Columbia Picture’s “The Smurfs” movie has disclosed that one of the actors on the set has been involved in a scandal.  The source says that a revealing photo was found of Smurfette, the only female Smurf cast member in the upcoming feature.  Quite frankly, she is the only female Smurf.

During the mid-80’s, the Smurfs enjoyed success with their hit Saturday morning animated series on NBC.  Since the show was cancelled, cast members have sought out bluer pastures.  A private photographer, Lascivious Smurf, released a photo (rumored to be one of many), which was taken shortly after the Smurf’s series went into permanent hiatus.  Smurfette stated publicly that she had been hired for a “modeling” session and never thought the photos would see the light of day.  She claims, “Any naughty bits that people may see of me have been photo shopped just like the controversial pictures that depicted boxer Oscar De La Hoya in fishnets.”  It is said that Smurfette is taking legal action over the release of the photo(s).

Co-star and standup comedian, Jokey Smurf (who works ‘Blue’), was asked to comment, but he was laughing too hard to say anything that was coherent.  Looking down and blue himself, Papa Smurf only stated that, “The Smurfs” movie would be in theaters this coming summer.  He refused to talk about the incident, except to say that he was a bit disappointed, and then he quickly changed topics to discuss different aspects of being a good and decent single parent.

News has smurfaced that Smurfette has been romantically linked to someone from the cancelled cop series N.Y.P.D. Blue, a member of The Blue Man Group, a Nai’ve (from Avatar), President Bill Clinton, and to that nasty, sneaky wizard Gargamel.
“The Smurfs” movie is due to magically appear in theaters on July 29th.  The film stars the acting talents of Neil Patrick Harris, Hank Azaria, Jayma Mays, Jonathan Winters, Katy Perry, Alan Cumming, George Lopez, Paul Reubens, Kenan Thompson, B. J. Novak, Jeff Foxworthy, Wolfgang Puck, Fred Armisen, Sofia Vergara, and Anton Yelchin.  Raja Gosnell directs.

Hollywood Super Agent, Xena K. Kramer, represents Smurfette and the other Smurfs, except Agent Smurf, who represents himself.

Smurf you later!
