No ‘Zoolander 2′? If So, Paramount Sucks!

Via his Twitter page, actor / director Ben Stiller has sounded off on the reported “Zoolander 2″ sequel he has been working on.  Seems that the morons in charge at Paramount are possibly passing on this sequel like they did “Anchorman 2″ earlier in the week.

Stiller said, Ron Burgundy and Derek Zoolander looking to appear in sequels. Both men destitute, without means or intellect to fund their own comebacks.”

So what is the deal Paramount?  Are you saving your money for a movie based on Chutes and Ladders now?  Not that I think every movie needs a sequel, but I don’t understand how a studio executive could pass on a sequel to a successful film in order to spend money on movies based on board games.  I think Paramount is in desperate need of a regime change.  What do you think?

Ah well, at least the originals will go untarnsihed by any possible sub-par sequels (which, let's be honest, is often the case).

Hey, maybe if Paramount doesn't want to fund two movies they can combine the films into one god-awful mess: Anchorlander! Come on, could it be worse than Magic 8 Ball?

Questionable decisions. I'm beginging to feel a little irritated by Paramount.

The stupid thing here is Zoolander (and Anchorman) is the type of cult hit that became so much bigger after it was out of the theaters… which means they'd have a much better shot at doing very well in a second go around, with a much bigger built-in audience than what was there before. Personally, as much as I love Anchorman, I think Zoolander has more potential for a sequel… I just wish they'd get this done. It would be a very, very fun movie.

PS: I'm so glad they haven't F'd with JJ's Star Trek 2. Phew.

You made some first rate factors there. I looked on the internet for the issue and located most people will go along with along with your website.
