So let’s get this straight. Paramount will invest millions in a Magic 8 Ball movie that nobody in the world has any interest to see, but they will not pony up the money to produce a sequel to a successful film that a number of its fans are actually clamoring for!! How the hell does that make sense?Â
According to Adam McKay on his Twitter page, Paramount has officially passes on “Anchorman 2.” McKay says the studio passed “even after we cut our budget down.” If they had decided to give the green light to it, the sequel to the successful comedy starring Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, and Paul Rudd would have presumably gone into production soon.Â
Seriously, who is running Paramount these days? Geez.
