The film “Singularity” will premiere at Screamfest in Los Angeles this Saturday, October 22, 2011. Considered to be a well-kept secret, horror fans will gather to get the first look at this new horror film sensation from writer/director Shian Storm. Storm is also the cinematographer responsible for the stunning images seen in the Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck on “Battlestar Galactica”) werewolf project “Growl.”
So what is “Singularity” about? Here is the plot.
Two men, seeking refuge from an unidentifiable attacker, find themselves trapped in a suburban garage where the real nightmare begins.
Starring Robert Joy (“The Hills Have Eyes,” “Land of the Dead,” “CSI: N.Y.,” and “AVP-R,”), and nominated for 10 Maverick Movie Awards with 1 win for Best Make-Up Effects, this film will be the biggest surprise of this year’s festival. The entire cast and crew, featuring Robert Joy, as well as the award winning make-up effects crew including Malaki Keller (“Hellraiser: Bloodline,” “Starship Troopers,”) and Jacob Hair (“2001 Maniacs,” and Snoop Dog’s “Hood of Horror”) will be available for interviews at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 22nd in the press area at Screamfest prior to and following the 2:00 p.m. screening.
